Question PPAP of Lego

Hi Marc
I have a question for the submission of PPAP.
We are a cable factory having a production line which produces 1300-1400 types of cables. The cables consist of the same components, but in many variation.
These are not automotive products exactly, but we'd like to extend our QM system to this line.
We considered the APQP and PPAP, but we have no idea: which type of products have to be submitted in PPAP? Some significant?...or forget the QS9k and apply ISO only?
Thank's
zsolt

For QS-9000 products APQP is not an option. You PPAP according to customer requirements - they tell you what you have to do (generally if you present a rasonable proposal they'll go along with you). You have to assume full PPAP unless you have a written waiver.

I'm not sure what you mean by:

PPAP is only required by Ford, GM and Chrysler (through the QS-9000 requirement). It is required for every automotive product unless you have a waiver (as stated above).
