Default Anyone know about European Foundation for Quality Mgt, any resource available?

Hey all,
I am not sure it is suitable for making a post for this topic, also not sure if I could get any reply on it. I know most of you are from Northern American, but I still would like to see if anyone here could provide some inputs.
Thanks
Jaco

I had a training on EFQM a couple of years ago. From a management system point of view it is very structured and if you would compare the model against todays ISO9000 for example you will start seeing similarities opposite to the old 1994 standard. Implementing EFQM however, is not a piece of cake. although you cannot get certified to EFQM, there are several companies that have implemented it as far as i am aware of but i would assume that this has more to do with prestige than actually having a top notch management system in place.

Quid Pro Quo EFQM Information

We are one of a limited number of EFQM Assessors here in the US.
The EFQM can be thought of as the MBNQA on steroids....
How can we help you...

Jaco,
The EFQM and its associated Business Excellence Model was created to help European Union enterprises evolve - unlike the MBNQA in the US which is the product of a large best practices think tank - The Federal Quality Institute, The EFQm was originally created by EU Industrial Leaders. This difference can be seen in the 'weighting factors' given to each of the 9 areas of the EFQM Model.
The EFQM devotes considerable attention to he development of an enterprise's Social Sytems, in the form of Employee Growth and Develoment, Parnerships, Recognition and Reward and Coching / Mentoring. In this regard, the EFQM in my mind is more valuable to an enterprise's evolution than the MBNQA, the Shingo Prize or the Deming Prize.
I'm not sure what you are looking for WRT the EFQM, please let me know what I can do to help .
