ANSI 14.5M - Dimensioning and Tolerancing - Where I can buy the standard
Hi all,
Maybe it is a fool question for all of you, but it is very difficult to make it. I have seen this standard available for sale on ANSI website before, but now I can not find the information anymore. I donot know what's with it, and it is urgent for me to have that standard(e-file preferred). Anyone could help me out here?
Thanks in advance
Jaco

Thanks Al Rosen,
I have found what i wanted, and what a great place you given!!!! but I was a little surprised that the common standard 14.5m which named "dimensioning and tolerancing" are also not well known in this cover!
Thanks again,
Jaco

Actually, Jaco, I'm amazed you got an answer as quickly as you did. This weekend is a big national holiday in the USA and many of us are pressured to finish up other things before the 3 day weekend and may not have time to come to the Cove.
I, for example, have the Standard and certainly know where to purchase it, as do many other Covers, I am certain. Patience is often a virtue in a Discussion Forum.

Thanks for your reminding Wes Bucey,
I really do not want to offend anyone here, because all of you are so kind and willing to help others including me. So I would say sorry to all of you, if what i have said is rude to anyone. Actually, I did not notice the upcoming the big day at all. Also, I was not complaining about that no reply on this asking, I was just wonder if some of covers also not familiar with this standard like me(because I do not know you should be very busy recently).
Anyway, pls accept my appologize for my bad expression again.

Don't forget - the Google ads here on the site typically have one or more companies which sell standards. Don't forget to visit them to, at least, compare prices. If you don't see any on this page, watch as you peruse the forums and one will pop up (the ads change).

Hi Marc,
Thanks for your advice, and i do it as you suggested! and now i got lots of information about ASME Y14.5M with same title "dimensioning and tolerancing". So I was confused, which one should be official standard to application?
Thanks in advance.

It doesn't matter who sells the standard - ASME Y14.5M should be the same document no matter who sells it. It's an American Society of Mechanical Engineers standard. I would buy it from the cheapest source. Do check the version - It should be Y14.5M-1994 (R1999) I think.
I used to buy ISO standards from the CSA (Canadian Standards Association) 416 747-4044 some years back because they were cheapest. I stayed away from the Australian Standards Council (or whatever it was called) because they 'hobbled' their pdf version by limiting it to 1 printout, you needed a special plugin to open it at all and was simply the worst deal.
