I guess I have to turn in my senior member application and pay my dues then.
They've been sitting on my desk for a month as I agonize over whether to "re-up." I seriously worry about fighting a war in a foreign country (Milwaukee), where they think a pickled mushroom in a glass of brandy is a cocktail! The good news is there is a saloon/restaurant about a block and a half from ASQ HQ called the Safe House where they make a pretty good burger and serve a full mug of beer!

Heh, I have had people say to me, "Why don't you run for politics?" I always reply, "Oh! I would be so much trouble!"
The idea of Wes being an ASQ board member gave me a deja-vu feeling.

Steve - What could Wes have done that is so bad as to make you feel so vindictive toward him?

It kind of reminds me of my early days as a member of Local #7 Union at Firestone and the best qualification anyone could have to run for office in the union was to have P***** off management at some point in time.
Wes, are you up to the task?

IMO based on some of the discontent expressed in other threads about the ASQ, it would seem the ASQ Board in general has been inactive for a long time. But, Wes seems to be an active kind of a guy. On that basis, is he really qualified? He seems to lack the experience/ capability of being inactive. What if he tried to get something done - what chaos might that cause! So, in the interest of apparent tradition, perhaps we should nominate one of the folk from another thread about "Where are they now?"
If he wants to become a member, I suggest he studies the BBC TV series, "Yes Minister" and "Yes Prime Minister". (Our other Brit Covers will understand that suggestion!)
