Sixty-eight % of all men are between 1.73 and 1.87 meters tall. So, there are 68 chances in 100 that the next man will be between these Limits. I’d have to give you odds of 68 to 32 (2:1).
Ninety-five % of all men are between 1.66 and 1.94 meters tall. That gives us odds of 95 to 5 (19:1) that the next man won’t be shorter than 1.66 nor taller than 1.94 meters. There are only 2 1/2 chances in 100 that the next man will be taller than 1.94 m
The gadgets we make are supposed to be exactly 20 millimeters long. We are going to make a Lot of 500 widgets.
We measure the Lot with a micrometer and find:
As you can see, they are in the same Bell Shaped Pattern as the pieces of pie and the men.
