These 5 Sample Averages vary quite a bit from the Lot Average of 20.0mm, but the Grand Average is 20.01mm. We wouldn’t always come so close, but if we have enough Samples (say 20 to 25) the Average of a number of Samples will be a good Estimate of the Act
You’ll notice the table has another number labeled Range. The range is the difference between the largest and smallest measurement in each sample. Like the Averages, the Ranges vary in each sample.
