Good morning all,
I have an inquire by a customer. It is a small reprocessor (cold drawing) of pipes, that supplies small business in the area. He has a request of ASTM 210 pipes, but this standard requires tensile tests, per heat/lot.
Since he is distributor, his batches of drawing are a mixed bag, and has a hard time keeping lots of consistent heats. Most pipes are bought from the same mill and he has the heats of each group of pipes and they are fairly consistent. There is some "accepted" way to "merge" heats? Using a criteria with chemistry? (if deviation between batches is less than a given %)?
