SAMPLE COMPANY Page 1 of 1 SOP # 04-5 Revision: 0 Prepared by: _ Effective Date: Approved by: _ Title: DRAWINGS AND SCHEMATICS Policy: Engineering Services will be responsible for preparing all required drawings and schematics to support product design, manufacturing, product service and maintenance and for use as illustrations in operation manuals. Purpose: To list requirements for drawings and schematics. Scope: This procedure applies to all finished products and products under development. Procedures: 1.0 Drawing Requirements 1.1 Engineering will evaluate each product and prepare the appropriate drawings and/or schematics as applicable. These drawings and schematics can include the following: 1. Schematic diagrams of the individual major assemblies and/or the complete equipment of system. 2. Logic diagrams. 3. Interconnection diagrams. 4. Cabling/wiring diagrams. 5. Line drawings of the individual assemblies, calling out all circuit components. These drawings are to support the parts list and all references must correspond to those contained in the parts list. 6. Isometric drawings. 7. Sheet metal flat drawings. 2.0 Drawing Control 2.1 All drawings/schematics will be properly labeled for identification purposes and will include the product or component name, drawing number, date, preparer and scale used. 2.2 Any changes to a drawing or schematic must be completed in accordance with Document Change Control procedures (See standard operating procedures for Engineering Change Notice).
