SAMPLE COMPANY Page 1 of 2 SOP # 10-2 Revision: 0 Prepared by: _ Effective Date: Approved by: _ Title: IN-PROCESS AND FINAL INSPECTION AND TESTING Policy: As part of the company's total quality assurance program, quality control checks will be performed at various completion levels during production and upon final completion of the product in accordance with specified requirements and/or as outlined in the quality plans. Purpose: To outline the activities and responsibilities for quality control inspections of products. Scope: This procedure applies to all products manufactured by the company. Procedures: 1.0 Assembly 1.1 The QC Manager will periodically review production in process to ascertain that items are being produced in compliance with applicable design and manufacturing documents contained in the Master Product Record. These documents can include; quality plans, inspection/test instructions, assembly manuals or instructions, bill of materials, drawings, specification sheets, sample model components/products, etc. 1.2 When appropriate as indicated by the quality plan, quality inspection and approval identification will be stamped onto the component/product or on supporting check-out documentation. 2.0 Finished Goods 2.1 All products manufactured by the company shall be tested and inspected for proper assembly and function. 2.2 QC Check Out Sheets determined in the design process (see SOP on Preproduction Quality and Planning) for each product will be utilized to determine appropriate items and inspection/testing parameters to be followed. 2.3 Upon satisfactory completion of the inspection process, the applicable QC Check Out Sheet will be signed, dated and filed as required. IN-PROCESS AND FINAL INSPECTION AND TESTING Page 2 of 2 3.0 Nonconformance and Disposition 3.1 If a finished product or sub-assembly is rejected for any reason during the QC process, the product or component will be red-tagged and segregated by placing in quarantine to await disposition according to the procedure for Control of Nonconforming Product.
