Thanks, Don. Actually, I was just looking for more info about this spc method, who invented it, how he was able to come up with such a method. Although it is pretty basic, I find it rather very useful. I am looking for additional files on this method because it is what we use here and I think if I teach this method to operators, they can appreciate the simplicity and the practicality of this method.

If you're just looking for "basics"..
Walter A Shewhart back in the late 20's developed much of the "modern era" use of Spc techniques..Bell Lab's and Demming - helped perfect its use.

Any search with the keyword 'Shewhart' will give all kinds of info.

BTW, Grant and Leavenworth give excellent explanations of the Shewart Bowl experiments in their book.
