Thanks everyone for your help. We passed our ISO 9001/QS 9000/TE audit yesterday. We had 10 minor NCRs (and I do mean minor). I corrected half of them immediately. The others I'll do today and tomorrow. Upon acceptance of my corrective action we will be recommended and should receive our certificate 6 weeks from then. Again I appreciate all the help. This is a great forum. Michael IP: Logged |

Congratulations on a job well done. IMHO, there tends to be a degree of subjectivity to the interpretation of the supllement. This should make for some interesting Forum fodder in the future. Again, congratulations. Bryon IP: Logged |

I'm confused. In the Netherlands, but also in the rest of Europe it's the understanding that in order to be QS9000 certified NO nonconformities are allowed.(see also QSA) In case of minor NCR's an "open status" is given to the company. Are the certification rules different in the US or am I missing something. Regards, Dirk Jansen IP: Logged |

Dirk, You are correct, of course. Our registration is subject to closing the minor NCRs we reveived. We have a thirty day period in which to do this. The recommendation to the Board of Directors of our registrar won't happen if these NCRs are not closed out. Michael IP: Logged |
