Hi,

Since we are first line suppliers of Ford Motor Company, and we will be QS
9000 certificate, should we accomplish TES & QSA-TE?

In affirmative since we made metallic parts what should we demand to our
progressive dies suppliers, and raw material suppliers?

It sounds like you manufacture parts so the TE supplement would not apply to you. However, I think you have to pass down the requirements of TE to your die makers and such. Raw material suppliers are not subject to TE but are to QS9000. Suppliers of services and distributors are a different story.

Well, the requirement you're looking at is 4.6.2.1 Subcontractor Development. It doesn't specifically require that your suppliers be QS9000 registered. In the QS9000 arena most are requiring suppliers to either be registered or to have a 'plan' to achieve eventual registration. As far as TE goes, well - I guess thqat's your call but I suspect the expectation is that your tooling and die suppiers at least have a plan for TE registration. A requirement? Doesn't appear to be a requirement.
