In the QSA-TE (5.8, which references QS9000 4.5.2.1) it states the requirement for recording the date engineering changes are implemented. How does everyone do this? We have an "In-process status block" which is put on every drawing in a CAD layer. This drawing follows the part through each phase of the process and gathers signatures and dates along the way. We use this for proof of 100% inspection of every action performed by the machine shop, assembly shop, etc. When revised drawings are released they have the same CAD layer. My idea is to use this signed and dated CAD layer to indicate implementation. How does this sound? Michael IP: Logged |

Can you currently track which tool/equipment produced first uses the changed drawing? IP: Logged |

Not yet. I'll get together with program management this week to figure something out. IP: Logged |
