I am working at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, IA in their Information Technology Group. Our Quality Services Group is looking for two additional Quality Engineers.

I will add the job Description at the bottom.

Rockwell Collins business includes, but is not limited to developing and manufacturing communication, navigation, and avionics systems for the defense and commercial Aviation industry.

We are looking for two people. Probably one fairly experienced, and another with some good basic experience.

Quality Services Engineer
Rockwell Collins' IT

Individual will work with other engineers, technicians, and support staff to develop, administer and monitor processes that enable the Rockwell Collins' Information Technology to provide cost effective, world class services to the main Business Units. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
á Leading/ participating in the development of new processes and reengineering of existing processes
á Conducting internal audits of the Information Technology Quality System
á Assisting in the administration of the document control system
á Participating in corrective action investigations
á Participation in process improvement initiatives
á Participating in the Change Management
á Monitoring the performance of the organization through established metrics

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience/ Abilities/ Experience:

Minimum Requirements:
á Excellent communication skills
á Ability to work in a cross functional team environment
á Knowledge of quality principles
- Problem solving (Pareto analyses, scatter diagrams, cause and effect diagrams)
- Closed-loop corrective action
á Knowledge/ experience with Quality Systems development and documentation
á Ability to excel in an environment with minimal supervision
á PC literacy

Desired:
á Knowledge and experience in Information Technology, particularly in a client/ server environment
á Bachelors degree in applicable field
á Experience in process reengineering
á Knowledge/ experience with ISO-9001, specifically as it applies to service organizations
á Knowledge/ experience with internal quality systems auditing
á Software development lifecycle and acceptance testing
á Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office
á Knowledge of process metrics and monitoring techniques
á Statistical techniques (Design of Experiments, Control Charting, Analysis of Variance, etc.)

Any of the following would be considered a plus:
á Knowledge/ experience with SEI/ CMM
á Knowledge/ experience with ITIL Standards
á ASQ Certification (CQA, CQE, CQSE, CQM, CRE)
á Experience developing and delivering training
á Experience leading a group of people in a project environment
á Knowledge/ experience in SAP or similar ERP environments
á "Cost of Quality" analysis and program development

-Schedule, plan, lead, conduct, report and close internal quality system audits in accordance with defined quality system processes.

-Ability to provide consulting and guidance to HSG organizations while maintaining independence and objectivity

-Knowledge / training in FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO 9001, EN 46001, ISO 13485 and Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC quality system requirements

-Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to make effective presentations

-Ability to travel worldwide up to 30%
