You haven't done anything 'incorrectly'. I changed forum software a couple of weeks ago. While there are a lot of things I like about the new forum software, one of the things I do not like is that there is *only* e-mail notification to the one person who *starts* a new 'topic'.

I have contacted the company/person who wrote the software and there is no immediate plan to change this but, as he said, "you never know". Sorry. Yes - it was a nice feature of the old software.

Unfortunately, now you have to pull up the forums in your browser to check for new entries. There is a light bulb and colour indicator which shows new posts. And the thread topics are listed (in each forum) by the date and time of the latest message. This is to say you call up (for example) the Lead Auditor Forum (in the Auditing Forums *category*. You will get a list of message topics. These topics are sorted in order of latest post (on top) to the oldest to have been posted to (on the bottom). The ones with new posts have pink folders and the ones without (I think) are yellow.

Oh well, on with the show!

Marc, how can I get the automatic updates in my email? They are very usefull for me. I know that I can get hundreds of them, but it is worth it when a single one can help me. We are certified QS9000 and I need to be updated. Thank you.

Felix:

Please read this thread. I think it explains everything. As I have pointed out, there are pro's and con's to this new forum software. While I like it because it is more organized, it is harder to use and it doesn't have e-mail notification of new posts *unless* yoiu originate a new topic in a forum. I may be able to figure out a way to modify the software. I'll be checking out that possibility.
