Help - my screen shows 9 identical postings  - is it my screen? - am I seeing double?? Or is my little drinky finally getting too me (Hic)??? I'm assuming it wasn't on purpose - but how would one write a procedure to "ensure" it dosen't happen to them Who said there wasn't a place for a bit of humor in the forums? It happens. Did YOU post them, or did someone else post them? Either way, the poster can easily delete the extra posts by using the EDIT feature and checking the DELETE POST box. IP: Logged |

Hello Marc I have just had this problem and i note that other people in the forum are having it. What happens is that when you click 'send post', the hour clock appears for so long that you think it isnt transferring, so you either click it again, or you stop and send again. The problem is sometimes the server is slow and sometimes the net is slow. So - you click and nothing seems to happen. So - you click again. You'll have to have some patience. I don't se it happen too often so I haven't gotten too excited. I'm already paying over US$1000 a year just for the server. To get a dedicated server to makes things faster would cost me 4 times as much and still would not address the issue of when the net is slow. So - all that said - click once and have a bit of patience. If someone does double post (I have never before seen 9 posts) I'll delete them (forum moderators should be able to deleter them also). For free it's the best I can do for now. IP: Logged |
