To coincide with the publication of ISO 9000: 2000, John Seddon - well known for his critical stance on ISO 9000 - is publiching a systems thinkers guide to intertpretation and use of ISO 9000: 2000. Seddon remarks: "The year 2000 review represents an attempt to move ISO 9000 into a systems approach to the design and management of work. To help people understand more clearly I have written 'The Vanguard Standards' as a guide." The Vanguard Standards will be available free of charge from the Vanguard web site: www.lean-service.com and will be posted there at the same time as the release of ISO 9000: 2000 (November-December).
