Hmmmm - in a maufacturing environment one quick one that comes to mind is length of time stored in useable product condition. (record & measure reasonable shelf life before rust removal/plating upgrade/re-packaging is needed) Anyone else have ideas? Regards IP: Logged |

A few thoughts... (1) Response time for filling a request (2) Claims for damaged goods (3) Warehouse inventory as a percentage of ??? (this may be more of a business objective, but it probably influences (1) and (2)) Look back at the things that have "stung" your department/company...these might be candidates for measurable quality objectives. Warehousing is inventory, it is waste. They measures you need are type and time. For each type of item, how long from purchase (arrival in inventory) to use? Cut time and you cut costs. Then you get promoted! ------------------ IP: Logged |
