I cannot find in the second edition of the PPAP manual if I am to number an layout my print or the customer's print. I would assume that it should be the customer's print, but I don't see it stated specifically. I would appreciate if someone would confirm this for me.

You are correct.

Your customer should have sent you approved copies of the prints (either produced by you or your customer). Use these when doing your layout (be sure that they have your customers approval; i.e. stamp, signature, and part number).
