We are a small (50 employee) company doing software development for the Windows NT and HP 3000/9000 environments. We are an HP channel partner and have been working toward 9001 certification for the past 8 months, but have not found a registrar that has software development focus. We are working closely with our consultant, but I wanted to get other suggestions for registrars. I would especially appreciate first-hand comments from those of you who have gone the pre-assessment to final audit route in software dev.

We too are a software developer. We researched and found that BSI has an excellent program. You can ask for a "Tick-it" assessor (Software) and receive the software development focus that you are looking for.
