Subject: S.I.C. Codes

Good morning Marc,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Julie DeGuire and I am the Quality Management Representative at Regal International Tool & Mould in Windsor, ONT. Canada

I have an inquiry that needs clarification. One of our customers contacted me asking for our S.I.C. code. I did speak to our Registrar and received that code.

He also gave me our "NACE Code". Do you have any information on these codes so I can better understand the codes and to gain the knowledge so I can be more prepared when this request surfaces again.

Thank You
Julie DeGuire

SIC is Standard Industry Code. It is being replaced by NAICS. See: http://www.census.gov/pub/epcd/www/naics.html

NACE is the National Association of Corrosion Engineers See: http://www.nace.org/ and http://www.powerengbooks.com/booklist.html#1

These are just classification 'schemes' for industry.

SIC is Standard Industry Code. It is being replaced by NAICS. <--- YES, I agree See: www.census.gov/pub/epcd/www/naics.html

NACE is the National Association of Corrosion Engineers See: www.nace.org/ and http://www.powerengbooks.com/booklist.html#1 <--- NO, I disagree. Besause the above mentioned is a different thing ------------------------------------------------
by the way I can give anybody wanting it a german version of the NACE-Code.

I myself look for a list of english NACE-Codes. That's why I came to you. (www.snap.com)
