Is a list of all customer supplied product sufficient to be in compliance with QS?
Also, it is in our po's that all customers own the tooling when the order is contracted. Does this mean that all of our tooling is customer supplied? How do we specify? Would it be enough to include in the procedure that all customer tooling is marked with our number, and belongs to the customer if requested?

We were expected by our registrar to have a list of all molds with the ownership listed by them and explanations of there history.
Most customers supply us with plates to affix to the molds to show that thwey are the owners.

Usually. Most auditors would like to see an inventory. This proves you know what is Customer supplied and what is not.

Yes

Yes, If this is indeed true. If the customer owns the tool, they have the right to retreive it at anytime. Iif this is a true statement, maintenance history should be documented to not only prove to the auditor that customer supplied product is maintained but to be able to charge the customer for the maintenance under your PO agreements, when applicable of course.
