Re: Picture uploads in groups

I think the Social Groups "broke" when the Dragonbytes SEO mod was put in a while back. I hadn't noticed because - Well, I haven't really used any of them myself. I sort of figured few if any people were using them (sort of like the "Blogs" which were an interesting idea years ago, but were never really used much here).

The Dragonbytes SEO mod is rather complex and I only know one person who knows/understands all the rewrites it does. I'll try to get in touch with him (he's in CA), but like I say - It won't be a quick fix. I don't even know if he' be interested in working with it.

I can tell you that posts in Social Groups do not have attachment options. You can post pictures in a group, but not in posts. For example, if you go to the motorcycle group - - You will see a link to "Add Pictures". But - It only allows you to add URL(s) to picture(s) which are in your albums. It says:
You may add pictures to this group from your albums. Paste the URL of each picture you want to add on a separate line. Alternatively, you can add pictures to this group by first viewing them in your albums and then selecting "Add Pictures to Group".
So - You have to have at least one picture album and upload pictures to it first. Then you can link to a picture in an album you have in a group.

So - You might want to start a picture album with pictures of motorbikes. Then you can link to pictures in your album in a group. But again - there is no "attachments" option in posts in a discussions in a Group. Sorry about that.
Thanks to Marc for your informative Post and/or Attachment!
