We are supplying simple , not critical mechanical components to a few Tier 2 & 3 subcon. for automotive assembly manufacturers. Our processes are faily similar for all parts. The parts drawing always did not indicate any crirical dimension.

QUESTION:

1. Is it always necessary to complete the AIAG APQP checklist (A1~A8) for every new part that required PPAP submission??

2. If not , how to show evidence of APQP process??

Design FMEA's, Process FMEA's, Control Plans; Planning notes, Action (to-do) sheets, PPAP documents, etc.

The best evidence would be a successful, flawless launch of a new or modified program for your Customer.
