Please Help! Small Company wants AS9110 Certification

Dear All:
As I know,There is little company want to pass the AS9110 certification.Why?
Maybe the customer donot have this requirement to his supplier.

To find out more about AS9110, the first step would be to purchase the standard from SAE.

Some registrars have webinars thta explain the requirements of AS9110. I have seen the webinar from BSI and it is well done.

Why would a small company want to become AS 9110 certified if their customer was not requiring certification contractually?

Announced on the top left side of this page is a DNV Webinar on AS9100...

In regards to the OP question, a company may want to implement / certify its Quality Management System to AS for "no reason at all"... the owner/management may "just want it just because"...

Hey, the more Management systems in place, better for us... more jobs for Quality Managers, auditors, consultants...

So why AS 9100 why not TS 16949? An odd idea to be certified if the customer does not want it. What product market is the company in?

Or ISO 14001 ? But as stated by Andy, it really depends what is the organizations product...
