When will CBs be auditing organizations to AS9110:2012 (AKA AS9110B)

:bigwave: Merry After Christmas Day everyone. :bigwave:

I have searched IAQG, OASIS, and this forum, but have not been able to find any information on when CBs will be auditing organizations to the AS9110:2012 (AKA AS9110B) standard. Our annual surveillance audit is scheduled for January 22-25, 2013, and we were hoping to be audited to the new standard at that time. Otherwise, we may end up needing a special audit to bring us up to AS9110:2012.

Has anybody heard anything regarding the timeline for upgrade to the AS9110:2012 standard?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

:thanx:

Yes, the IAQG is finishing the resolution concerning the 9110B transition. The item holding the 9110B transition up is the finalization of of the IAQG sanctioned 9110:2012 AATT update training module, because, only after the auditors have taken the online training and PASSED the examination, they will be considered authenticated to perform AS9110B audits.

During 2013, CB's can perform 9110 audits to either the A or B revisions. After 1/1/2014, all 9110 audits must be performed to the Revision B. I know at least of one CB, which "jumped the gun" and advised their 9110 customers they had to make the transition to AS9110B during 2013, but the CB in question apparently suffered from "premature notification"....:tg:

Sidney,

Thanks for the quick reply. We TOO have been instructed that we had to transition in 2013; hence, my comment about a possible special audit. We will hold course for AS9110A unless our registrar miraculously gets our AS9110 auditor qualified before Jan 22, 2013. BTW, I'm not holding my breath. :D

Thanks again,

Chris

It is now official; the latest IAQG resolution log stipulates:

All 9110 AQMS authenticated auditors (including both AEA and AA), and AB Assessors conducting 9110 witnessed assessments, shall take the IAQG Sanctioned on-line 9110:2012 AATT update training module.

9110 AQMS Auditors shall submit their 9110:2012 certificate of completion of IAQG sanctioned update training to their respective AAB as part of the required information in order to successfully re-authenticate at the end of the current three year authentication cycle. CBs shall ensure all 9110 AQMS Authenticated Auditors have completed the 9110:2012 AATT update training course as part of the required demonstration of competence before selecting any auditor for the audit of a client?s management system to 9110:2012.

AND
? 9110:2012 Update Training Certificate

In accordance with IAQG OPMT Resolution Number #99, authenticated auditors must complete this training prior to conducting a 9110:2012 initial, surveillance or recertification audit. Upon successful completion, auditors will be asked to provide a copy of the certificate to their respective Certification Body (CB) employer and will be required to submit the certificate in their next auditor re-authentication package. No interim re-authentication actions will be required.
