Is evidence of second party audits required for every supplier?

As far as IATF/AS9100 go, do you have to show evidence of second party audits for every supplier? i am referring to IATF sec 8.4.2.4.1

No. But you need to document the need, frequency, etc.

An audit is as simple as reviewing the certification, records, performance...

Then on your approved list - develop columns how this was done and results of the review / audit and that is all.

Note: an audit in this event does not mean a visit...
