Does anyone have any info on the differences/similarities between NAS412 and the newer AS9146 FOD Prevention standards?

Just looking at the two quickly to compare:
1) NAS412 has 44 pages, AS9146 has only 7.
2) NAS412 goes into a bit of depth and detail on how to do things, AS9146 is at a higher level.
3) NAS412 goes into more with aircraft maintenance and servicing. AS9146 doesn't go that deep.

AS9146 is a standard meaning you have to comply to it once invoke by the vendor. NAS412 is a guideline

Coming back to this a few years later as I am comparing the two (again).....

There is a cross-reference table in NAS 412 Revision 2 that references the AS9146 chapter number to the associated NAS 412 chapter number.

There is also another thread here ->> AS9146 Implementation and Compliance which talks about implementing an AS9146 program.
