Friends,

From The New York Times...

In the late 1970s and ’80s, Philips, the multinational company best known for electronics, which had been based in the small city of Eindhoven in southern Holland since its founding in the 1890s, started to farm out its production to Asia. Thank you for this link. I had been to Eindhoven many times on official visits. I still have a few friends at Eindhoven - Warm and large hearted people. It is a pity that it is slowly changing its character. Hope the current "take over" by designers help to preserve this once industrial town.

Stijloor,

Eindhoven is about 45 minutes from where I live and I visit it regularly.
I even visit the DAF (Pacar) factories several times for one of my former jobs and have very good memories about it.

Bedankt voor je Nederlandse bijdrage, ook die over het fietsen. :applause:

Cheers,

Mr.Happy
