The 2012 season was interesting. Yes, Alabama won again, and will be looking for number 16.

The SEC continues to be strong. The SEC East may get more interesting than the SEC West though, as three teams right now already have their sights on going to Atlanta to take on the SEC West Champion. The DAWGS, my Gators, and the Gamecocks are likely to start strong. In the West, my Tide (grew up there, so adopted the Tide) could be upset by Texas A&M or LSU.

The Big 10 may come out strong too. They have been in recovery mode, but that won't last forever.

The Pac-12 will continue I think to have just a couple of strong teams, likely the two teams in Oregon. AZ State started strong last year but could not go the distance. USC may be good or may lose it again at critical moments. The Big East is still trying to figure itself out I think.

Just my thoughts.

Only a couple of weeks till kickoff! No replies yet, but folks are certainly encouraged to talk about their teams. Bring the swagger!

Hey!

Gonna be a tough year but a good year. It is always tough playing in the SEC West.

For those who like me are in the ESPN College Football Pick'Em, get your picks in.

I did not do well on the first week. In Pick'Em, I got 5 out of 10 correct, but with the ranking my percentage was below the average.

Anyone else do pick'em and willing to say?

anyone else see the Michigan vs Notre Dame game? The only thing we rewound to review was the Eminem interview, really really bizarre! If you haven't seen it, it was quite something!

I watched the beginning of Michigan vs Notre Dame, but fell asleep during. Being from the Ann Arbor area I was happy to see Michigan win. But being Nole I was even more happy to see Florida lose to Miami. :D

Tori, you are right about the interview. He looked like he was spaced out or similar until he was asked a direct question, then just like a light switch was flipped. Strange.

Week 2 of pick 'em, I did better. Average was 32 points, I had 37.

And don't worry about the 'Noles, they will do well, till the last game of the season. CHOMP, CHOMP!

If folks here are new to me, I was born a Gator (born in WPB), grew up in Alabama, so adopted the Tide. Only an issue when they face each other, then I wear my Houndstooth hat and CHOMP.

Now, any predictions about Alabama at A&M this upcoming Saturday? Johnny Football is back, and the Tide had some pretty serious issues on offense. I am pulling for the Tide, but A&M is continuing to be touch to beat. Thoughts?

It was an interesting day for football, last few games on the TV are going now.

The TN at FL game was called "ugly" by the announcer. It was messy to be sure, even comical. One player, a Gator, got ejected for targeting. The call was correct, hopefully the player learns something. I am sure all the extra work he likely will have to put in will teach him. The FL QB got hurt early was out for the game. The backup QB took over and really ran the offense well.

Any other interesting games folks?

Well, it has been a challenge to follow football while on business in Europe. Before I left, the DAWGS beat LSU, and did it in Tiger Stadium! That is good. In the SEC East, only one team has even a shot to stop GA, that being FL. However, if the Gators put the first string QB in, they have no chance. They need to keep the 2nd string kid in.

For the West, AL is still on top, but they have problems with the offense. That needs to get straightened out rather quickly.

In the Pac-12 S, UCLA seems to be doing well, I am glad they are finally starting to come back. Hope they get the South. But then they will have to take on - most likely - OR.

Overall, I am still above 50% in the Pick'Em, but this week the picks are REALLY tough! We will see if I stay above 50%.

We are starting to see the good teams and the losers. Who is going to talk trash?
