Hi all,

I am currently improving both the test Validation and Verification Plan as well as the Master Validation Plan. Would dearly appreciate if someone could enlighten on the difference of both.

From my own experience with medical devices (not sure what your product is):
- Master Validation Plan is used for the overall plan for manufacturing line validation See for example GHTF process validation guidance
- Validation (master) plan is used for a plan to describe product validation, so validating the intended use.

Agree with Ajit,

in our company we differenciate the two words VMP for the overall planing and overview of our processes which need validation and the (Master-) Validationplan is the head document to control each validation project. I have already seen companies which do it exactly inverse.

People using Validation first are activity oriented where as the ones using Master first are the document lovers :)

There is no real difference unless an industry specifies it differently!
