Definition Would a wrong definition constitute an Audit Finding?

In one of our procedure, the definitions of CA and PA were interchanged. Would this constitute a finding and if yes, against which clause of ISO 9001:2008?

"Finding" of what? Of an error? Yes. Of a non-conformity? Probably not, unless you have some document that defines such errors in your documentation as NCs.

Auditors are there to help you improve your system. If they find these issues, they are doing their job. Doesn't really matter whether they call it a "finding". Fix it and move on.

Is it just a procedural snafu or is it indeed a misapplication? If it is the latter, it violates sections 2 and 3 of ISO 9001:2008.

Remember, a finding, by definition, is any relevant comment (positive or negative) related to the audit criteria, scope and evidence. Unfortunately, many people misuse the term finding as synonymous with nonconformity.
