Writing a Quality Assurance Plan for a Proposal

Hello Everyone,
This is probably on this site somewhere, but I am unable to find it. I have been blessed with the task of writing a Quality Assurance Plan for a proposal we are working on. To be honest, I don't even know where to begin. My experience in the Quality field is limited to documentation, but my company officers feel I am the person for the job of Quality Manager. I have learned very much from this site and I thank Goodness you all are here.

Anyway, back to my dilemma. If anyone has a QA Plan template or sample, that would be most wonderful! :thanx:

I forgot to mention we are a service company.

I appreciate all of your help.

Have a wonderful day!
Thanks,
Pam

Re: Quality Assurance Plan Help!

Hello there! You have come to the right place! The Cove relishes such opportunities!

1. Make sure you have total buy-in/ support from management. This will take some time/effort/ and money.

2. I would suggest that while it may not be in your scope to become certified, the ISO specifications would be a great roadmap.

3. I guess I would suggest starting off with the general, and going to the basics. What do you do? How do you do it? Who are your customers?

4. Next, the plan should include some level of process mapping. What are the different variable that affect your service?

5. Finally, develop some metrics that you will measure. Service Quality is an elusive, complex construct. What will your organization consider measures of quality?

these are some starters. Like Gert suggested, there are some posts at the bottom that will also benefit you.

Re: Quality Assurance Plan Help!

Here's one I found on here by doing a search for a quality plan. The search engine here is very good, hope this helps you out.

Also if you look at the bottom of your page there should be some potential links for you to search.

Best Regards,

Pam,

ISO has published guidelines for quality plans which is very useful:
ISO 10005:2005, Quality Management Systems - Guidelines for Quality Plans.
Covers everything from scope & content to resources & requirements, and includes some simplified examples.

Hey guys,
Why make the Quality Plan a separate entity? Why not build the quality requirements into the proposal? Incidentally, the example plan attached by al40 is a Quality Manual, right?
