Veeva installation and the Loader Tool

I hope this is posted in the correct forum.

We are in the process of implementing Veeva for Qual docs and if anyone out there has migrated their documents into the system I am looking for some advice.

They provide an up-loader tool and say that you should attend a training (4 -6 hours) for the usage and that is at an additional cost. I have used similar tools with other systems and it was pretty easy with a 15 minute conversation on how to use the tool from the vendor. A lot of the training we have received so far has been very verbose and ineffective and I was curious if anyone else out there is familiar with the system and has used the tool and has any advice. The other options are to upload each document manually, one at a time, or pay them outright for the migration. We have about 500 documents. Still waiting to hear what the costs will be.

Thank you

Hi,

Hope you are doing well! I have used a document management system (DMS) by Veeva. I am not so sure the up-loader, because I was managing the entire transition from our earlier DMS to Veeva and all of it was done manually (uploading each document one by one), which is quite laborious. But I do understand that there is a process of "auto-migration" as well, which should help as you mention that you have 500 documents. And depending on the role (system admin/business admin) of the individual doing the transition, bulk actions are available as well.
Hope that helps!

Regards,
Shruti.

Thank you for the response Shruti, apologies for the delayed thanks.
I currently am using the laborious method of migration. How is the system working for you? I am finding several areas that are not executing as described by the vendor.

Hello,

The system works fine for me once we finished the transition into Veeva. We have several enhancements happening quite often, so most of our concerns would get resolved once the enhancements went live into the production environment. Let me know the areas where you are facing issues, I can help wherever possible :)
