Microcontroller: Discussion about EASA CM - SWCEH - 001

Aratar Orome

I am a PhD student and researching about assurance methods for COTS microcontrollers for usage in airborne electronic hardware.

In respect to this topic I have to understand how industry practices in this field.

Who has experience in:
- design/development/safety assurance of COTS microcontroller for highly critical avionic systems.

In connection with that I want to start a discussion about the EASA certification memorandum for complex electronic hardware:
Google for this: certification-docs-certification-memorandum-EASA-CM-SWCEH-001-Development-Assurance-of-Airborne-Electronic-Hardware.pdf

Chapter 9 describes process steps to assure the certification compliant usage of a microcontroller.

I am curious about your replies.
