Does anyone have a matrix that shows the comparisons between the ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 14001:2004 that they could share?
We are certified to three different standards and I'm overloaded with work trying to convert so anything can help at this point.
Thanks in advance :bigwave:

Get a copy of the new standard, there's a matrix in the back in Annex B.

Most audits I've done so far have shown the client had very little work to do unless it was a lip service management system only in which case there were some difficulties.

Having multiple management systems isn't a valid excuse if you're going for certification especially with those that have been harmonized to 2015 revisions...It's been over 2 years since publication

You're in luck because the standards have become more similar, not less in the 2015 versions and so integration is less of a problem. As Randy said, the standard is not really so very different once you look at it closely.

Don't delay. The certificates to 2004 will no longer be valid as of mid September, 2018 - I think the 18th.

Thanks, I know that we should have been auditing to this new standard starting in 2017, but my Quality Manager didn't tell me until two weeks ago, that this was the case. We just finished getting audited by the CB for this standard and the internal audit program got a major nonconformance for it so I'm scrambling like mad to comply before May 7th which is the deadline to answer to this finding.
So thank you very much for pointing this out!

Just shows the differences between auditors. On our transition audit (not my responsibility) we did not even get a minor NC for not auditing to the 2015 standard. I wasexpecting, as you have, a major

That's so interesting! We got audited by two standards at the same exact time, which made it a bit rough. Due to our lame QM that just retired, he did not tell us that we needed to audit to the new standards starting the first of last year. So, from the ISO 14001:2015 auditors, we got a major for it and the AS9100D auditor gave us a minor for it. All total, the whole company got a combination of 18 major and minors. Never had such a bad report before for the five years I've been here. Well, it's all for the good, improvements are coming and being the audit coordinator, my work is cut out for me too :whip:
I'm glad someone gets lucky now and then - good for you :tg:
