Requirements and standards for medical custom Electrical Connectors

We design an infusion pump which will have bolus handset and external power pack supply (input100-240V output 12V dc )
On the enclosure of the pump there is a female connector which is used to connect the male connector of the bolus handset to the pump.
Also there is a female connector which is used to connect the male connector of the output of the external power adaptor to the pump.
We want to design custom connectors for the bolus handset and the power adaptor.
Are there specific requirements and any standards that we must use in addition of 60601-1 for the connectors.
