Conformity vs. 8130-3 tag creation date

Hello all,
There is some debate in my group that an 8130-3 tag must contain (in block 13e) the exact date the part conformity was done. This is problematic for us in Arizona because at times system (software) access may be coming and going - (ex: the part makes it through Final Inspection (conformed) on say Friday, but the tag won't be cut until Monday morning when the rest of the system comes back up). Likewise, the software that generates our tags electronically is in another state, I (as Final Inspector) may approve the part at 10:00pm in AZ, but the required software services to create the tag are in Ohio (1am there) - three hours away, the tag appears with the date timestamp following the day I conformed the part. Is this such an issue?
Thank You,
SHNAZ

If you are performing a conformity that is being driven from a request for conformity (Form 8120-10), then all of the dates and versions of all of the documents you have reviewed for that conformity would be logged in the form 8100-1.
In addition, you can note the dates of the RFC, Statement of conformity, and any other pertinent details in block 12 and they do not need to be the same as your block 13 date. The MIDO I worked with never had an issue with this.

I would recommend that you keep a copy of the data package for your records in addition to the required package that goes to the FAA.
