Hi,

How do you specify one sided tolerance in Minitab v 16. Is about a MSA study.

Thanks!

Re: MSA-One sided tolerance in Minitab

In Minitab 15, it is under the Options button when you are doing the crossed Gage R&R study. You can specifiy either the USL, LSL or USL-LSL. At least one spec must be entered. I would assume it is similar in Minitab 16.

Re: MSA-One sided tolerance in Minitab

Hi again,

I made a test and % Tolerance reduced by 6% when i just entered upper limit and leaved lower limit blanked.

If i enter upper and lower limit with values i will increase the % Tolerance again.

Could this by right way to handle one sided tolerance like cylindricity?

Re: MSA-One sided tolerance in Minitab

Hi Miner,

Thanks for the information but i still don't know how i enter the values in a correct way in "options" in Minitab when it is about one sided tolerance? Is it correct to do as i described earlier?

Cylindricity would be considered a maximum specification. Enter the specification for the upper spec limit only then run your analysis.
