QOS 9000

I've been asked to investigate the implementation of QOS9000 in a small manufacturer in the UK for FORD. WE've got ISO9001/14001 integrated in one system and certified by SGS Yarsley. I can't seem to get any decent info' on QOS9000??!!
Can anybody help?

Short answer may be not to bother. If you are looking for implementing an automotive QMS refer to ISO/TS16949. There are many threads on the forum regarding this topic.

Good luck!

Don is spot on with his reply, ISO/TS 16949 is due for updating to comply with ISO 9001 and will be released in march/april of 2001.

Get a copy of the standard from www.ansi.org
You can download as a PDF file from there for a minimal charge. The current revision is imbeded with the 1994 version of ISO 9000 ,so make sure you replace those elements with the 2000revision of which the draft is available and will very closely resemble the final version due out in Nov. 2000.

GOOD LUCK
