Medical trays and bowls can become a reservoir of nosocomial infections. May I know what items are put into medical trays and bowls? I want to know if there are other reservoirs such as blood and pus that can cause cross-infection between patients from medical trays and bowls.

You are best off asking a hospital, however the short answer is anything and everything will be put in medical dishes and bowls. At the clean end of the spectrum they are used to contain materials that are preped for a procedure including saline/antimicrobial liquids. At the other end then it can be anything that is removed from the body - blood, bone matter, soft tissue, etc
