The current version is the 3rd Edition.

Correct, the current rules are 3rd edition, but it is for TS16949:2002, not TS16949:2009. I was wondering if a new version was in the works.

Thanks.

Not really. As necessary, the IATF communicates clarifications via Sanctioned Interpretations and FAQ's.

Rules Sanctioned Interpretations and FAQs and Errata Sheet

The "changes" in the TS16949:2009 standard don't warrant any change in the certification process, thus the Rules are pretty much the same.

I have heard "no evidence" that they will be updated in the summer.
