Chrysler to mandate 16949

Here is the opening of a release I received by e-mail today:

DaimlerChrysler, the world’s number three automaker, will formally announce this month that it is requiring third-party certification of key suppliers to ISO/TS 16949:2002 by July 1, 2004, QSU has learned.
