Remote Support - Calculating Number of Employees

Hi !

We are a remote site for design for several factories in our company. How do I calculate the number of employees for each factory ?

In our design organization we are engineers working with new development projects as well as handling changes for four different factories.

During the development phase we are not "supporting" the factories more of the opposite. In running production we are supporting with ECN's etc.

One way could be to state that the engineers working with the product changes (ECN's) are supporting the factories, or divided by development projects aimed for a specific factory, or ...

Any thoughts on principles to hold on to would be of interest.

Thanks in advance
Mikael

People are only counted once, even if they support or assist multiple sites.

Every site's head count is tallied. Audit time for one of the manufacturing sites is calculated based on their head count plus that of the design remote location, but due to the limited activities in the remote the audit time is subtracted from the overall - that is, 1.5 days spent at your site means 1.5 days shorter audit at one of the manufacturing sites.

I hope this makes sense. Please contact your registrar for specifics.

Thanks, that makes sense.

So just for confirmation:

- so if we 150 employees at the design center and supporting with less the 10% of these engineers to one factory it still the same no of employees

- so there is no difference in what kind of engineering activities we are supporting with ? separate department that handles ECN/ECR for example.

Thanks for your support !
