I left it to the Rep in Australia. I've been out of that business since '06 and don't remember which one we used.

Poorly.

There are several elements of the US FDA and EC MDD medical device regulatory systems where expert users would likely agree that one approach is better than the other, and should be the way that the eventual harmonization proceeds.

Neither system handles product codes in a way that's consistent, self-evident and unambiguous.
