Does a shop that completes Inspection CMM Layouts on a part. Are they required to be ISO 17025 certified in order to satisfy TS 7.6.3.2. Or do the shop preforming this particular function not fall under that requirement.

Is this "shop" that does the layout inspections your own organization?
No, no ISO 17025 accreditation required.
If this "shop" is another organization to which you outsource the layout inspections, then yes, they must be ISO 17025 accredited.

To clarify, there is a third possibility: that the OP is referring to his own organization, which does CMM layouts for other companies. In that case, accreditation would be required if the work were done for customers that require it.
