International / Traceable Standards - Procedures for Calipers, Micrometers, Etc.

Hello again guys,

i hope all is well. anyway, i just need to ask you guys if there are any available (free) traceable standard procedures for calipers, micrometers and the like. I know for pressure gauges it has EN 837-1. Thanks again!

First, a disclaimer. There is no such thing as a "traceable" procedure.
There are procedures put out by several organizations such as ANSI and ASTM, but they are copyrighted and they are not free.

Manufacturers often have procedures available for their products, and you can usually modify them in some way to make them "generic".

NPL has a Good Practice Guide for calipers and micrometers that includes sections on checking performance:

There are others out there. A Google search for "micrometer calibration procedure" finds many hits.
