Dear Gents,‎

Please I need your advice regarding Thermometers Calibration ‎

‎- Is the internal calibration fine with ISO Requirement such as ICE POINT METHOD
‎- What is the standard frequency of the calibration ‎
‎- What is the right corrective action if any deviation.‎

Thanks ‎

Re: Thermometers Calibration

Please, can you explain more about what type of thermometer, what application and how critical it is to the process where you have to measure the temperature using it ......

Re: Thermometers Calibration

One method of calibrating a thermometer is as you mentioned ice point method for '0' mark;and boiling water test for 100degrees.For BOILING WATER TEST due correction should be applied for the altitude of the testing location.
Another method is to compare the readings observed, to an already calibrated thermometer which has a chart of 'readings observed' during calibration.
