Agree with Stijloor. How you control the process is your decision. If there is a record of the inspection that your supplier is doing and there is no history of NCs, then perhaps all you need to do is document that you file those records as evidence of compliance.

Since verification of purchased product is a requirement of ISO 9001:2008 (7.4.3) then if you outsource the receipt inspection then it must be controlled.

As also state here, how you control it is up to you and must be defined within your system. (4.1)

I know of organizations that will control the process through purchasing, others who audit the company doing the work, and still others that provide their work instructions to the organziation to follow.
