Trading Company - Evaluating Supplier Performance and Approved Supplier List

Hi ,

We're trading company and start to implementing ISO 9001 . Now I'm confuse ASL. How to justified them?
Do we need to evaluate one-off deal supplier ? Can we skip it ?

I don't know what you mean by 'ASL'.

Nor do I fully understand your question (the information is rather limited).

If you only ever buy one thing from a supplier (and then move on), no you don't re-evaluate them. But you still have to have some criteria that you used when you decided to use them in the first place.

But other questions (which you haven't given any info about) include: what are you buying? How important is it? Will it affect the quality of your goods/services? If so, how much?

Because the attention and effort you put in here always comes back to questions like this. If it's a tiny little thing that will scarcely have any effect - very little. But if it's a consignment of goods that you're selling to your customer, you must do some due diligence on your supplier. Yes, even if it's only the once. And no, you cannot 'skip it' just because it's a one-off. You still have to consider your customer.

ASL stand for Approved Supplier list
My company supply machinery . To complete customer order , some of accessories we'll outsources .
Sometime my salesman will go to buy product from outsider and supply to customer . How to justified them ?
